Everyone I've met said this is the local place to get Osha root and I was pleased at the quality and price. I also love the sticker selection, and everything else in the store even though I was rushing And didn't get to look around. I'll definitely be back for more herbs 🌿

The Bronchial Relief Tea is amazing. Four days ago I was prescribed an inhaler, an asthma test was ordered and a chest X-ray for a long lasting wheezing/dry cough that’s been dragging on and on. I remembered my aunt liked Winter Sun’s bronchial blend tea. I decided to try it while I wait for the asthma test. After three days I’m no longer wheezing, my cough is almost gone and it’s so much easier to breathe. Thank you! I’ve been a customer since the 90s and am so glad you’re here!

Love this shop & love Phyllis! Two of my go-to remedies are Phyllis's Feel Good Formula (very calming & centering for me and helps me be a more patient mama!) And the Expectorant. If you have any gunk in your lungs etc, this stuff kicks it out quick! Also have to mention the Calendula lip balm which is chocolate orange scented (all natural) and an absolute dream to use!! I've been shopping here for almost 20 years. It's the best!!

Phyllis Hogan is the founder of this landmark shop in downtown Flagstaff. It dates back to the 70's and has a long, wonderful history of being the off-beat place to make the Navajo, Havasupai, or Hopi Connection. Herbs, spices, seeds, musical instruments, and Native American artwork adorn the store. It is the single best source in Flag for all of these. Phyllis' daughters live in New Mexico and continue their mother's healing business by owning and operating The Super Salve Company, purveyors of fine healing salves and herbal remedies. Phyllis was also best friends with dear friend of mine, a French woman, Michelle Glass, who lived in Centerville and called Phyllis "sister". They were close pals and because of their friendship I was introduced to this healing place. Winter Sun is exactly that, a healing place. I recently stopped by in early Sept.2024 and it is still an oasis for people interested in healing and the spiritual path. Your visit will bring new connections as well should you seek to know the best that Flagstaff has to offer in the way of conscious business places.
